Wish-List of Enhancements to AMDTreat v4

AMDTreat v4 is currently in Beta testing so this wish-list is mostly accomplished. This has made it possible to show screens depicting some of the enhancements. To see the full-size screens just click on the thumbnails. To return to this page hit the return button in your browser "

PRIORITY
LEVEL
DESCRIPTION OF ENHANCEMENT
Done
L

Backward calculation of theoretical retention time for ponds sized on dimensions.

Done

The capability to model costs for multiple treatment structures, of the same type, in series or parallel (e.g., Two VFPs.) using different water parameters for each structure in the series. This can be done now; but, when different water quality is used, it requires a new project be opened for each additional structure in the series. (Flexi-Ponds)

Done

M
Add a module to estimate costs for oxidation agents in chemical treatment (e.g., hydrogen peroxide addition).
Done
M
Further enhancements to the "Expert Help" feature. Also, adding help for the new tools.
Done
L
Change the X-out (Red X) function on the Costs Screen so that any changes to the screens that are X'ed-out are preserved until New is selected from the File Menu. This will facilitate repeated comparison of treatment costs for different treatment types without losing that data entered or modified in any screen.
Done
L
Change the Land Access module to reflect Lease Costs as annual costs. They are currently shown as Capital Costs.
Done
Create cascading Other Costs sheets. This will allow entering of an unlimited number of Other Costs while preserving itemization of those costs in the model.
Done
L
Allow change of efficiencies when titration is selected.
Done
M
Over twenty-five percent of downloads of AMDTreat are from outside the U.S. Add a metric conversion tool to facilitate international use.
Done
M
In the "Change Default Values" screen, allow one-time changes to values that occur on many screens. (e.g., The cost of limestone.)
Done
L
Don't limit side slopes of structures to 1.5, 2 and 3 to 1. Why not allow 1 to 1 and 4 to 1 and every combination in between.
Done
L
On the Costs Screen, move the Other (Capital Cost) line to below the Ancillary Subtotal line. The current location is confusing.
Done
Enhance the acidity calculator to consider the carbonate system for alkaline discharges.
Done
H
Enhance the Financial Forecasting tool and integrate the tool with the Recapitalization tool.
Done
M
Revise both the Fe oxidation tools to display retention time results in hours and change the data display from scientific notation to decimal notation.
Done
H
Combine the Primary and Secondary Pond modules into one module and add the ability to model up to 99 different ponds with different water quality and quantity for each pond for sizing purposes. (Flexi-Ponds)
Done
Add a tool to assist the user in calculating accurate flow rates. Click on the thumbnail to the left to view the new Tool menu in AMDTreat v4.
Done
M
Add a tool to average pH. pH cannot be taken as a simple average. This tool will perform a correct averaging of pH for up to 10 values.
